As part of the International Year of Plant Health (IYPH) the Royal
Society of Biology, Fera Science Ltd, DEFRA, APHA, CK Consulting,
CreativeConnection, UKRI-BBSRC and Defra’s Chief Plant Health Officer
Nicola Spence are collaborating to arrange an innovative ‘Plant Health
Summit for Future Leaders’.

https://planthealth.rsb.org.uk/

The Summit will be a national virtual conversation operating in 3 stages
between October 2020 and January 2021, culminating in a summit event on
2nd - 4th March 2021. Each phase will capture some deep thinking but
input time can as little as 15 minutes three times until January.

Our aim is to build a cohort of early career professionals with an
interest in plant health (ECPHP) from across academia, government,
industry and other stakeholders. These ECPHPs will work together to
tackle the grand challenges in plant health over the coming decades. We
invite people from under-represented groups to apply so that we can
build a diverse and inclusive cohort.

The unique aspect of this summit will be the creation of an active
dialogue between delegates prior to the summit and to inform the
discussion sessions on ‘Grand Challenges in Plant Health’. The summit
will not take the standard ‘listen and learn’ formula but will be a
dynamic interchange of experience, knowledge and learning.

The national conversation will be conducted by the CreativeConnection
team, who have generated this extraordinary animation to explain the
process and will be working with Celia Knight Consulting.

Potential delegates are asked to fill out a simple application form
