Pesticide Withdrawal Presentation given by Prof. Fiona Burnett to Ministerial Workshop

The Plant Health Centre's Sector Lead for Agriculture, Prof. Fiona Burnett, delivered a presentation and led discussions on the potential impacts of pesticide withdrawals for Scotland's plant-based industries (and natural environment) at a ministerial workshop which included representatives from Industry, Government and Research.

Prof. Burnett's presentation, which can be viewed here, drew upon the results from two recent Plant Health Centre Reports - PHC2020/09: Economic Impact Of Pesticide Withdrawals To Scotland, With Case Studies (view here), and PHC2018/15: Potential Impacts Arising From Pesticide Withdrawals To Scotland’s Plant Health (view here). The reports and Prof. Burnett's presentation were reportedly well received, and the group will now meet regularly for discussions on this dynamic area of policy.
