Project Lead: Laura Meagher
This project will deliver a strategic evaluation of select impacts generated by Scotland’s Plant Health Centre since its establishment, alongside a practical framework to strengthen future impact. The first phase of this project will, through a combination of workshops, interviews and analysis, develop a portfolio of case studies showcasing how research has influenced policy and practice, including both completed impacts and those still emerging. The project will also provide tailored training and facilitated reflection for Centre staff, helping to build a shared understanding of impact generation, evaluation and evidence capture. In its second phase, the work will focus on identifying Centre-level impacts, synthesising lessons learned, and co-developing a forward-looking strategy for generating, tracking and evidencing impact. The final outputs will include a set of impact case studies, a practical working plan, and accessible guidance to support ongoing learning and continuous improvement in how the Centre delivers and demonstrates real-world benefits.
